The BACP aims to promote and provide education and training for counsellors and/or psychotherapists working in either professional or voluntary settings, and to advance the education of the public about the role of counselling and/or psychotherapy.

COSCA promotes the education and regulation of counselling in Scotland and represents counselling and psychotherapy to the Scottish Executive.

UK Council for Psychotherapy

UKCP is the quality mark for high standards in psychotherapy. We hold the national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors, listing those practitioner members who meet exacting standards and training requirements.

We also hold a specialist register for psychotherapists qualified to work with children and young people. The UKCP oversees the voluntary regulation of psychotherapy in the United Kingdom.

UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA)

Our Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Organisational Consultants and Educators are trained in Transactional Analysis, practise using TA as their modality of choice and are registered by us.

As a professional body we monitor standards of competence and ethical practise for both trainee and qualified Transactional Analysts as well as offering a range of services for members.

International Transactional Analysis Association

The ITAA is a networking organization that promotes transactional analysis internationally.

The International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) was founded by Eric Berne and other transactional analysis (TA) practitioners in 1964, almost 50 years ago.
